I'm a big fan of Daniel Siegel and his work in the study of psychology. He is an a
acclaimed author, award-winning educator, and child psychiatrist. His book on the Whole-Brain Child demystifies meltdowns and aggravation in young children and gives caregivers an explanation of how a child's brain is wired and how it matures. Daniels uses the terms 'upstairs brain' and 'downstairs brain' to describe how our little people process their world, how they make decisions and how they balance their emotions.
If you are looking for a book to help you understand what goes on in our little people's brains this is an awesome read.
